The estate of Raixa is an historic and beautiful estate located at the base of the Serra de Tramuntana centered around an Italian-style castle.
The gardens that surround it, its monumental staircase, and the panoramic views make it an essential place to visit

The villa and gardens of Raixa, along with its magnificent gardens, was initially an 16th Centuryt Moorish farm. At the turn of the 18th century, Cardinal Despuig, one of the key figures in the Enlightenment, built the grand estate and gardens which incorporate elements of Italian palazzo as well as Greek temples and Asian-influenced structures

Santa Maria del Cami Market
The Santa Maria Market is vibrant and busy most every Sunday. There are a wide range of clothing, shoe, and children’s toy, and flower/plant vendors in the central open air market space. There also also many vendors selling locally-grown fresh fruits and vegetables as well as other food vendors.
Surrounding the market square there are restaurants and places to drink. Most interesting are the wine bars and tasting rooms that serve wines from the local grape growers.
Nearby is the Consell Market which offers a distinctly different range of products – more antiques and unique home decoration. So its easy to visit both markets of a pleasant Sunday morning.
The Sunday Market opens at 8 am and runs to 2 pm. Open Year-Round

Sunday Flea Market Consell
Mercat de Vell de Consell
It’s not so big like Marché aux Puces in Paris, but there is enough variety to make it interesting. Antiques, objects of art, plants, bric a brac… and food stalls. The sausages are quite good.
Opens 8 am Sunday Morning

The Ramparts
Walking Palma’s medieval ramparts provides great views of sea, Parc del a Mer and the Cathedral. The enormous walls which date back to the Roman era are set high so they provide many beautiful vistas. Their colors and angular geometry provide for both great instagram opportunities and well as seemingly abstract photography.
From the ramparts is it easy to explore Old Town, the Cathedral, the Port and the coast line. Early morning provides tranquility and beautiful lighting for photos. Afternoons and evening provide hustle and bustle as some much life takes place in all of the adjoining areas.

Repic Beach
Pleasant narrow sandy family beach with nearby rocky cliff area at Port de Sóller. Protected swimming area with floating swim raft. It’s a protected Bay so water is most always calm and safe. No waves. There are a wide choice of water sport rentals.
A wide varity of shops, restaurants and hotels surround the beach
Wonderful sea and mountain views. Easy walks to the lighthouse and scenic views above the Bay
Beautiful sunsets during the season as the Bay opening is on the far west side.
Easy to Access by the Sóller tram, biking, hiking, or if necessary, driving
Cap de Formentor
When you visit Mallorca, you must see Cap de Formentor. Its dramatic, amazing, spectacular… Seriously.

Natural Wonders
“To skip Cap de Formentor, would be like driving across Arizona and skipping the Grand Canyon“
Platja de Formentor
A very pleasant sandy beach with beautiful clear water. Pricey beach cafes and restaurants.
Visit: Restaurante Platja Mar.
Large Parking lot; although it gets full on sunny days during the high season. And the Beach can get crowded as well.
Mega-yachts moor nearby and its not uncommon to see Hollywood celebrities. On our visit in July 2019, we saw the luxury yacht Rising Sun just offshore. Soon after we watched as Orlando Bloom and Katy Perry walked along the beach and then took a tender out to the Yacht.
While the beach is wonderful, the drive to the beach is amazing. Cap de Formentor is dramatic and awe inspiring.
The road is great for bicycling and the beach is perfect for your mid-day break.
Formentor is situated approximately 7km to the north-west of Port de Pollença.

Between the Cathedral walls and the Sea, there is the Parc de la Mar.

With the addition of the bayside highway, the Parc de la Mar was constructed. The lake in the Parc is known for its tall fountain and its beautiful reflections of the Cathedral.
The Parc also included children’s play areas,, underground parking garage, and walking paths

Sòller Town Houses
Sóller went through several periods of wealth and decline thru its history. In the 1920’s, Sòller saw a resurgence in its citrus trade. With a new era of wealth, a new neighborhood developed with many stately town homes. The homes had many stylish embellishments which reflected the the elements of style in Paris and Barcelona

We visited Eloise Rodriguez at her Wallpapers Deco Mallorca showroom on Carrer de la Llotgeta, in a neighborhood of old Palma that is vibrant with bohemian flavor
I fell in love with Eloise’s painted canvases. As I am currently renovating my Fornalutx townhouse, I took special interest. I immediately visualized how her large painted canvases could create an beautiful atmosphere of subtle colors in our entry hall.
